Ea games change user name

I just read this in one of Pogo's help pages:. A: No, we do not have the ability to edit existing screen names. The only other option for using a different screen name is to create a new account, and start over from scratch in tokens and ratings. My question is this:. If that is true, then how did my screen name get changed by Pogo many years ago? This happened way long before there was a Club Pogo.

I went to log in as usual with my screen name of SouthWind but it kept saying I had the wrong user name. I finally got an answer from Pogo telling me to put the underscore in front of my screen name from now on and there should be no problem. I did not put that underscore there, Pogo did. I was really upset about it at first but it doesn't bother me anymore. I was just wondering how Pogo can tell a player that that can't be done when I know first hand that it can be.

How it is done, that is still a mystery to me. Does anyone have an answer to this, it sure would be nice to finally know.

Oh, and no I do not, nor have I ever had, any other accounts with Pogo. But Club Pogo members do not have the option of changing their name.
